My Creations

A place for all those ribbons!  I got all the pieces at Hobby Lobby, an unfinished board with serpentine top and grooves already cut in, the decorative piece glued on top, and the knobs.  The vinyl I had a friend cut for me, the paint, stain, hacksaw and picture hanger I already had.

1) stain the board and decorative piece
2) paint both pieces and distress using fine sandpaper
3) use wood glue to attach the decorative piece
4) evenly space your knobs and mark where you want to drill the holes with a pencil
5) drill holes just a little smaller than the screws on the knobs
6) turn the piece over. Using a drill bit that is a little bigger than the nut, center over your first drilled hole and drill into the back of the board a small ways
7) screw in the knobs and tighten the nuts. If you screw from the front you will get them tighter.
8) use a hacksaw to cut the extra length off (or you can measure them and cut first.)
9) File the ends of the bolts if necessary
10) add a picture hanger

Stitch Fix

First stitch fix...whoa my mirror is dirty !!

This shirt was a miss, too boxy.

 A miss, not flattering.
Ok, just not worth the price when I didn't LOVE it.

I really liked the pieces in this outfit

...ironically I had some similar pieces in my own wardrobe that, as I demonstrate, were not as good of a fit or as flattering.
Shirts from other fixes
An ok top but not worth the price.

This dress was super fun, BUT I was holding about 5 inches of fabric gathered in my hand behind it. The hips were especially wider than mine.

If this dress were 2-3 inches longer I would have kept it.  I really liked it otherwise.
This has been a great sweater, but didn't do well in the wash.  The sleeves are significantly shorter now even though I have never put it in the drier.
 I've loved this shirt.
Ok top. A little frumpy and I wouldn't wear the shoulder cutouts.
This was cute and the back was really fun, except because of the loose outer layer I felt like it made me look wide when it was hanging freely

A fun top but not worth the price.

A few other fixes
 Maternity.

 Some of my style
I love this top, cool enough for hot summer days and has enough style that I don't need to layer or accessorize it much.
A fun flirty top. I love the boat neck and gathered sides. It was a little long for my protruding booty and I eventually I felt too old to wear it.

I really like this shirt, just don't like that I have to wear a shirt to line it with.

An ok trendy style for church.
LOVE this dress and I get a lot of compliments every time I wear it.
So I bought another similar one in a more flattering color, oddly I don't get as many compliments in this one!

One of my favorite shirts, I have it in 3 colors.
I love how this shirt has its own style, without having to layer it with anything. It's just loose enough around the midsection to do a little scrunching and hide the belly.

Grandma Betty's Cakes

My Grandma was decorating and personalizing cakes before it was popular.  I am so lucky she documented them! For her birthday this year I redid her album, including having all her cake pictures scanned and converted digitally.
